Jasprit Bumrah gained fame through the IPL and joined the Indian team. He has improved a lot over time and has been a key player for the Mumbai Indians, helping them win titles. Recently, he delivered another impressive performance in the IPL.

5. 3/14 vs Gujarat Titans, 2024*
It’s been a while since the Mumbai Indians won their first game of the season, but they’ve still won the trophy five times. In their first game of IPL 2024, they started the same way under Hardik Pandya’s captaincy. Despite Jasprit Bumrah’s strong performance, they didn’t quite manage to score enough runs.
When they bowled first, Mumbai did well to limit Gujarat Titans’ score. Jasprit Bumrah, back after missing a season, was outstanding, taking three wickets for just 14 runs in 4 overs, which was one of his best performances in the IPL.
4. 3/13 vs Delhi Daredevils, 2016
In 2016, Bumrah was new to the Indian team. With help from experienced players like Lasith Malinga and Zaheer Khan, he quickly became a great bowler. He could challenge any batsman with his impressive skills.
In a match against Delhi Daredevils, Mumbai Indians scored a big total of 206 runs. To win, they just needed to keep taking wickets. Bumrah did an excellent job and took important wickets, including Rishabh Pant, JP Duminy, and Amit Mishra. This was one of his best performances in the IPL, with 3 wickets for 13 runs.
3. 4/20 vs Rajasthan Royals, 2020
In 2020, the Mumbai Indians won the IPL for the fifth time. Jasprit Bumrah played a big role in their victory. The IPL matches were held in the United Arab Emirates. Bumrah took 27 wickets that season.
In one game against the Rajasthan Royals, Mumbai batted first and scored 193 runs, largely thanks to Suryakumar Yadav. When Mumbai bowled, Bumrah was outstanding. He got out several batsmen quickly and took the wicket of Steve Smith. This was the first time he took four wickets in a match, and he only gave away 20 runs in 4 overs.

Jasprit Bumrah and the Mumbai Indians team have had a tough few years. When Bumrah was injured, Mumbai struggled. But when he returned for the IPL in 2022, he performed really well. In a game against the Kolkata Knight Riders, Mumbai Indians kept the Knight Riders to 165 runs. Bumrah was exceptional, taking five wickets for just 15 runs in his four overs. This remains his best performance in the Indian Premier League.
5. 5/10 vs Kolkata Knight Riders, 2022
The past few years have been hard for Jasprit Bumrah and the Mumbai Indians team. When Bumrah was injured and couldn’t play, the team struggled. However, in IPL 2022, after taking a break from cricket, Bumrah played very well. He took five wickets in one match, which was his first time doing this in the IPL.
In a game against the Kolkata Knight Riders, the Mumbai Indians managed to limit their score to 165 runs. No other bowler could match Bumrah’s performance. He took five wickets and gave away only 15 runs in his four overs. This remains his best bowling performance in the IPL.
